Conservancy programs are available for the general public, members, and special groups. Please call (949) 489-9778 to register for an event, arrange your own outing, or receive directions. Your registration makes it easier for us to plan for events. Please be prompt for your arrival as we are surrounded by private land and must lock the gate behind us.

Native American Plants Walk
Walk with a naturalist guide through the wildlands of The Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy where we will discover the diversity of local plant life as we explore the unique landscape. Observe the earth and learn what plants the Native Americans used in Orange County. Enjoy the peace of nature. BRING: Water, good walking shoes, sunscreen, hat, camera. AGE: 8 and up LEVEL: Moderate

Astronomy Night
The stars are often considered heaven's guideposts. For years people have looked to stars to predict everything from the change of seasons to a change of leaders. Every May, you can look into the sky and see the same stars. Learn the night sky and enjoy the peace of Spring in the outdoor evening! BRING: Warm clothing, flashlight, binoculars, optional beach chair. AGE: 8 and up. LEVEL: Easy

Conditioning Hike
Come join us for a three- to four-mile hike through the beautiful Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy. Visit in the cool of the morning and learn about the precious wilderness and animals of Orange County and hike to get in shape. Nothing like being surrounded by wildlife and challenged by hillsides. BRING: Water, good walking shoes, sunscreen, hat. AGE: 10 and up. LEVEL: Moderate

Riley Wilderness Park Bugs & Butterflies Festival
The Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy will be joining other groups at Riley Wilderness Park at their annual spring event in their Butterfly Garden. You can learn about the benefits of planting native plants and the intricate connections between the insect population and native plants. Learn all about bugs and butterflies and much, much more. Come visit our booth and enjoy the fun! AGE: all LEVEL: Easy

Trail Clearing and Weeding
How often do you get a chance to do important work in beautiful surroundings? You can help us clear The Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy trails while we discover the changes that winter brings to the local wilderness. We need your assistance...and your good company. A few hours of your time each month removing non-native, invasive plants can make a big difference! Spend some time in beautiful country with great people! Drinks and sandwiches provided for lunch. BRING: water and wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots, a hat, and sunscreen. Cameras and binoculars are welcome. AGE: 10 and up

Family Nature Walk
Visit the beautiful Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy for a spring family nature walk. Wander with a naturalist guide on the Conservancy's trails where we will explore the unique plant communities and look for evidence of wildlife. Along the way, you will learn about reptiles, birds and many other creatures that live along the trail. Other surprises may await you! Enjoy the beautiful, peaceful wildlands of Orange County. Young child walks are a leisurely 1-2 miles. BRING: Water, good walking shoes, sunscreen, hat. AGE: 6 and up. LEVEL: Easy
